do you ever get into a little guitar funk (like pms but with guitar) where you just play badly, you're in a bad mood because of it and it makes you play worse, you're tired, hands are cramped ect?

well thats me now..and i get it like a girl gets her period.

and it pisses me off.

and it's my time of month now.

Just do what you would with a girl, leave her be and take a drive or something.

Same with guitar, put it down and do something else.

yeah that's normal... and that is a colorful way of putting it

every now and then i take about 3-4 days off....and when i come back, i play and sound so much better... most of it is mental i believe...it's not so much your fingers and wrists that need a rest, but your brain needs a reset sort of...that's my experience anyway
