All of them
YNK has never been played d+t...i was trying to catch you on a technicality :-p
Songs like the stone, dave solo, are amazing, but i dont like them with tim. That song is in it's best for full band though. Raven needs a band, DDTW NEEDS a band, Bartender needs a band, etc. There are just so many empty spaces in those songs d+t i think.

I've agreed with pretty much everything you've said so far, but I think Raven is awesome without the band. I dunno if D+T ever did it but when Dave played it at Benaroya I thought it was really sweet.i like tictacs wrote:All of them

you just need to learn to listen. I can hear every single note he plays on 12.8.98.Tranman66 wrote:with #41, the band version is great, but you can't hear dave's guitar at all.TrippnBill686 wrote:BigSpeen3436 wrote:Tranman66 wrote:#41 is a lot better with just TIM and DaveI beg to differ. well, i do actually. but thats besides the point! 12/8/98 is sweet!
i guess it really depends but some of the more... i dunno i guess serious songs like #41 and grace is gone or like seek up i just find better when its just dave or dave and tim or just like acoustic guitars. but then I like songs like two step and granny and stay and more upbeat faster songs with the band.
I'll agree You Never Know is good with the band, but catching me on a technicality isn't hard, since i figured dave and tim had played it at some point, and i haven't heard of all of daves stuff or know like everytime he's played something. so i guess all i can say is it's a good song hehehe.

I voted DMB, but I just think D&T and DMB are just totally different. As my fiancé says about DMB, "there is a lot of music all at once," which I find awesome. DMB is one of the few rare bands (which I think Phish never was able to do) is to find a core sound. All putting in each individual emotion and abilities and creating a column of music that creeps into the depths of one's soul (whatever the feeling may be). D&T on the other hand can grab someone in a totally different way. For the one hand, it is WAY more mellow than DMB(all around) because it is just two guitars. Having said that, Timmy can rip that guitar up and take you places you never thought you'd be able to go with acoustic guitar!
