most difficult song

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

most difficult song

Unread post by borocks » Thu Nov 28, 2002 3:39 pm

I think The Stone or Tripping Billies (middle part) is the most difficult stuff of Dave to play. I just started with Stone, it's really hard to get the right timing. And to sing at the same time seems to be unpossible...Whatever.

What do you think ???

they're all reasonably easy for me at this point, but honestly, the hardest songs for me to learn and the last one's I really learned were Ants Marching and What Would You Say? Ants was just kinda odd and I never found a good tab of WWYS and I wasn't good with pulling stuff out by ear then.

The Stone took me the longest to learn. After about 4 days of working on it really hardcore, I can play and sing it. Really fun song. I can play billies, and sing it, kinda, but it's still a bit touchy. Haven't played that one in a long time.

I agree with Pilot, Stone has taken me the longest to learn. It took me about 3 days to get really good at it (still can't sing during the verses) and even now I could be better at it. But no other Dave song has taken me more than a few hours to get down really good, so The Stone is the most difficult.

At this point, I find only mild difficulty in mimicking Dave's style of playing, and playing the songs as good as he does. In that case, I'd have to say Warehouse and The Stone are tough.

 3 days for The Stone  no other Dave song has taken you more than a few hours to get down really good

I agree with the last part: The Stone was the most difficult :) Ants took awhile, Tripping Billies took awhile. Most of them took awhile. For me, at least.
good, and you?
