I was at the 6/18/03 show, and I noticed by watching the video screen that during the Dreaming Tree fill, Dave was using his first finger on the 5th fret of the low E. So it was like this
Code: Select all
E:------------------
B:-6-------6-5-6--
G:-7-------7-7-7--
D:-7-------7-7-7--
A:------------------
E:-5-------5-5-5----

I don't think this is going to be changed because I personally do not have any video footage of it. If some surfaces from this tour, AMAZING and I can't wait to see it....but for right now it will stay the same.
Now, in terms of what you wrote, I don't deny that you saw Dave have his first finger around there...but try playing exactly what you just wrote. Every video I have of Dreaming Tree he plays the 5onB with his 1st finger in the 3rd chord. Dave may be using his 1st finger to mute all the rest of the strings and then for that quick second he moves it down to play the 5. That's my personaly opinion because I don't see how he could be playing that and it doesn't seem like his style.
Again, you may be right, may be wrong....my guess would be he's muting with that finger. Oh well, until a video surfaces(or I see it in concert) it'll stay the same. Thanks for the suggestion though and hopefully something surfaces where we can decide for sure....THANKS!

there's no way that tab could be right purljam, that chord you showed is a Dminor, dreaming tree is in DMAJOR.
