There are no stupid questions here. Here a person will not get their ass jumped all over because they do not know the “correct:” way to ask for a show. There are no inner circle trading elitists here. I truly believe that there is no other trading forum that has the “good vibe” that we have here (and that is my personal opinion only).

BUT, this is a TRADING forum none the less. And in the trading community, preserving the quality of recordings and honoring the request of the tapers is paramount.

i agree 100%... i just dont know why i got jumped on for mentioning in here i had 2 d+t shows, and the lost acoustics WICH ARE ONLY AVAILABLE IN MP3 i might add.

The Lost Acoustics are most certainly available in lossless format. I have them in SHN.

and will, you just made our point even more clear....because of people giving out the lost acoustics in mp3, some people don't even know that there is a lossy version, thus our trading pool has been contaminated

Hey Danny...

The "Parading of Power" was not directed towards you or any other moderators except for Matty. I thought his comment on this situation was absurd & uncalled for.

We all know what trading is. It is typically set up between 2 parties & terms are negotiated. This is where the rules & proper etiquette of trading should apply. Filmdude did not do that.

He made a thread listing his videos & let everybody know that they are available from his getfile. Apparently, Matty & Brock noticed Mp3's & got a little hostile.

People who trade & who want to trade will follow the rules of trading. So I wouldn't be concerned about some people having mp3's of shows that were converted to mp3's. I have faith that people will continue to follow the rules & keep the music alive in the best format possible. But just don't harp on the guy who did convert them & is NOT trading them.

i heard from like ants it was only available in mp3... hmmm, cause some guy there was offering bnps of it for like 10 or 15 in mp3 format.

hey, i DON'T CARE WHAT HE HAS IN HIS GETFILE

but, if he is advertising it in the trading forum, then he is intending to spread those, and thus trade them

Okay, this thread has really gotten out of hand.

Here's the bottom line - Danny and Matt run this forum. They have established, along with every other respectable trading forum, a rule disallowing trading or spreading of shows that have had their quality reduced by conversion to MP3, against the tapers' and traders' wishes. While we do not wish to specify what a user can or cannot share via their AIM "getfile", they will not be allowed to advocate the spread of MP3-sourced shows in this forum.
