IMPORTANT

Unread post by mangold » Mon Nov 15, 2004 4:56 pm

i was at my local samash, well within driving distance of the Martin Factory in Nazareth PA, and i noticed a flyer posted in a bulletin board that read:
*ahem*

Martin Guitar Building Classes
1 week over the summer (I forget Dates)
Design and build your own custom acoustic guitar under the watchful eyes of skilled Martin employees. Then, pitch your design to a panel of Martin reps and get input. Tuition: 1000$ (includes all supplies and Martin Backpacker Steel string guitar) Held at Martin Factory.

or something to that degree... sounds shady to me... its almost feasibly impossible to build an acoustic in 1 week, no matter how crappy. Has anybody else, prefferably in the Nazareth Area ever heard of this/ and or done it? My curiosity is making me kill my cat...

build by hand impossible, build at the martin factory, very very possible, i think a week is pushing it, but i dont think theyre exactly gonna build you a DM3MD in that time if you design it, im sure theyll prebend some wood, or presand some to cut time out on extra little things.
