what kinda router bit do i need to do block inlays and where can i get it?

you need a small sprial cutting bit. you can use a straight cutter but spiral cutter tear out less. You want this to be as small as you can control because the corners will be rounded. When you glue this in use black super glue. when you sand put white super glue over it and mix in some ebony saw dust. when you are done all the small cracks will be gone. Look for what stew mac or lmi has for seel for inlay bits
