think dave will use Taylors with the ES?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

or are his pickups better/more expensive than the ES?

i dont think theres anything to date better than the ES. when you use it you dont hear the amp, you hear the guitar.

I just read a section on the ES (and a cool new 514 with Walnut b/s) and all that I hear is good things...I love the way my 814 sounds everywhere but in my rec. equipment :? (except SMTS...that came out decently)...anywho, I still want to get my hands on a Sans Amp Acoustic DI...

I played a taylor with that system the other day, wierd how it plugs into the mic input but it sounded AWESOME, the sound of the $2000+ guitar I was playing really came through............... someday
