let's say it in this way:

i'm not a bass-player but my mum gave me such a little things - "ears"

it's quite usefull - you can hear some things - and they are called sounds, notes etc.

maybe i'm totaly oldie-schoolie but i use my ears

that's why i say :

carter is one of the greatest drummers in the un iverse - he should have wooten in rythmsection that's all

carter is nowhere near the best. there is no real "drumming king" in fact there is no real king on any instrument. victor has got nothing on stefan's compositional skill, victor just has bela. don't get me wrong i think that victor is the best technical player on a bass out there today. vic would not mesh with dmb.
