first off: check out the taylor 110. you might just like it. for the 2 you posted id go with the D1 just because it has a solid back... however - i would wait to buy a better quality one... one with solid back and sides.. a D-16RGT is only a few hundred more in list price. aim for that one.

I was going to get DM but I sprung the extra 50 bucks for solid wood and a real wood fretboard with the d-15, which I happen to like = )

D-16RGT--I had a chance to play one of these about 3 months ago for an extended period of time and it blew me away. Great sound. Around $900 street.

I think I'm gonna regret saying this, but I went to GC the other day to pick up some strings, and I noticed that there was a Taylor 110 sitting in their acoustics room. So after hearing Shane blabber on and on about these guitars, I decided to play it a little bit. And, it sounded pretty damn good. You can play as hard as you want, and it still sounded good. Action seemed just right, and had the same tone as a 310. I might be thinking about getting one of these this summer.

i just bought a taylor 310 for $950... i know guitar center prices are a lil bit higher, but they are running that 12 months same as cash thing. personally, i would consider it a waste of money to buy a cheaper guitar when i know im going to get a pro-level model later. but thats me.
fornit some fornus
