Well since all us dmbtabs.com vets have been asleep at the wheel in this forum, why don't we liven things up? How you might ask, a call for the next installment of a cover contest...choose carefully, and I want to see alot of votes...everyone is invited...nio holding back...play with whatever effects you want...I for one will use very minimal (if not none) to try and keep it even, and I would ask others to keep it light...no massive effects to hide behind, but if you want, go for it...but people will keep in mind when they listen and vote...voting will be "best cover when all things are taken into account"...that is the best way...nobody gets bashed, nobody gets laughed at or hurt...just some fun for all of us...
so, to not waste any time, what song shall we do?
vote now, and we will see if we can't get this thing going by the 20th (next friday)
lets have some fun

i've been thinking of doing the stone, it may take a few days (that is if work allows). i might try to sing it or get my vocalists friend to do it.

DDTW all the way. Simple for not the greatest guitarists yet full of potential to add your own thing for it....plus just a killer tune!
Even though it looks like the stone is going to take most of the votes....

I would need to dive into the dl-4, dd-6, echo, reverb, and overlap tracks to bring it realy alive
unless people are ok with that...

I have to agree with fire.. I don't think I could stand recording that without being a one-man D+T.

of course it is all just for fun...I have wanted to do a DDTW D&T style cover (like almost all of my other covers), but I am just not sure if a contest would be the best place for it...although I could have some fun
