This is not only the first time this has happened high, it's also the first time it's happened. Have you ever broke a pick (a hard one..I think this was a fender) but not broken the string. I was just messing around jamming and like a quarter of the pick (tip part) just snapped off. My strings remain intact. Kinda fucked.

THis has happened to me a couple times before. No big deal. I think its just a defective pick thing or maybe the way you struck the string, i dont know. I use cheap generic picks with my guitar stores name on them so I get em for free so its not that big a deal.

That happens to me all the time when i am playing with thin picks, i think it has only happened to me twice with thick picks. But boy did i feel like a man those two times...then i smashed a beer can on my forehead.

i think it's safe to say that if you use fenders then it was the pick.

one thing that fender DOES make very badly is guitar picks :(

i used to break them all the time and just thought i was playing too hard untill i tried dunlop tortex picks and i found out that i had been playing with crappy picks.

switch to dunlop :)

I've done it too. It happens. Fender picks, especially the thins marble looking ones break easily.

i put duct tape on the top 3/4 of my picks... makes them invincible and gives a no slip grip
