So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Hey sorry it took me so long.........
What i do is slide from the A quickly to the F then G,F,G....
If you watch farmaid dave does this and then starts using power chords and emphasizes the G string (upstrum and mute)......
I pretty much use this..
Code: Select all
Intro
E:------------------------------------------
B:------------------------------------------
G:------------------------------------------
D:------------------------------------------
A:------------------------------------------
E:-5--5\---0h3--3--0--3--0h1--x--0h1---0h3--
2 (2) (2) 2 2 (1) (1) (2)
Then I used this
Code: Select all
E-------------
B-------------
G----4--2----
D-7--5--3-5-
A-7--5--3-5-
E-5--3--1-3--
Then I went into open chords...best advice would be to have a look at the farmaid version...kicks ass!
hope that helps...if not let me know and i'll record an audio sample for you..
later

thanks i've got plenty to work with now, trippinbill that audio sample would be great but take your time you've already helped me a ton.
I can't believe that we would lie in our graves,
dreaming of things we might have been.
