FS: Guitar Sell Off

Unread post by RSabala » Mon Oct 25, 2004 3:28 pm

I'm in the process of consolidating my collection to get a few high end guitars. Below are a few of the guitars I'm thinking of selling. Please feel free to share with others that you know that may be interested. Contact me directly at rs758797@ohio.edu or reply to this thread. I really wish I had the money to keep these also, but my closet isn't able to hold them all anymore.

Alvarez AD60K - Absolutely beautiful guitar. Exotic wood with a wonderful tone. I added a better saddle and ebony bridge pins. Ask around or search these boards.....people have nothing but great things to say about this guitar and Alvarez in general.

Takamine EG334SC - Great guitar for Dave stuff. You may recognize this guitar from Pat, who posts a lot of clips here. Exact guitar he uses. Sounds just like his. It's acoustic/electric, by the way.

Thank you for your time and interest!!

I'm willing to negotiate for people that I know in the community. I was thinking like $475 for the Tak and $325 for the Alvarez. Like I said, I'm willing to talk it over and be flexible. This is a great group. I want to see someone enjoy it and help out the best I can.

Those pics don't do them justice. The first thing I look for in a guitar is sound. A VERY close second is the looks as a bonus. Both are really great looking. The Tak is starting to mellow out and darken up a little. Beautiful.....

I would think about doing a few with the Alvarez.
As far as the Tak goes, Pat's covers of the DMB/Dave songs that he has done on this site is a pretty good taste. I recognized the guitar as soon as I heard a clip. Every guitar is different, but it's pretty dang close.

I'm just afraid I'd skew the opinion of the listeners with my version.

I would love to get my hands on that tak, I wish I had the money to do it. When I played that guitar in the store I knew I wanted it, I can't believe more people havent bid on it. Good luck

everytime i am at a new guitar store i try the tak eg334sc and it has never sounded as good as pat's, not even close. but maybe that's because it's never plugged in.
