Original Stuff

Unread post by methusula » Mon Oct 25, 2004 5:07 pm

I've been visiting these boards for a month or so, and just now made a name so i can post some, not just read and learn.

i could use some reviews on some original stuff, which can be heard at http://www.soundclick.com/methusula . i've showed it to some friends and stuff, but i figured i'd get better reviews from a community that knows their music well. any reviews are appreciated, especially on the songs with lyrics (the first five).

your voice is really nice and the guitar is also very good I just am not really feeling whatever percussion you're using, I think it would be better just you and the guitar, but good stuff none the less.

i've heard that various times, so i think it's just time to take it out. bummer, i really would like some percussion backing it up. suppose the guitar and vocals will be fine, thats what it woulda been live anyway.

I only listened to Hide Away.

You voice needs a bit of work. Your talking as much as your singing which prevents any chance of maintaining the key not to mention it just doesn't sound right.
The first riff is going too fast for you to hit cleanly so slow it down.
The song itself shows some promise so keep it up.
