Are you talking about his part:
Or the finger picked way he played like on Listener Supported (I think it is) I dont know how the intro is a woodstock. Ill have to watch the video I have of it and get back to you if its not the intro I have posted above. If it is that part, I could probably make a recording of it for you, its not really that hard at all.

Alright, I just watched the Woodstock video and he plays the intro just like the way it is on this site and the way I posted it above. If you need help I would probably recommend playing along with your recording and trying to follow the tab on this site or try playing along with Trippin Hillbilly's cover that he posted a few days ago. Either one of them should give you a good sense of how it sounds and the tab on here is the same way they are playing it except for maybe a little of variation but you can figure that out as you go. Its not that hard to play, if you can play the jam you should be able to play that pretty easy.

It should be the same as the tabs on this site. I think he might just be playing the top string but letting some open strings ring down below it. Ask Trippin Hillbilly how he plays it cuz his version sounds pretty dead on to me. Anyone else wanna weigh in on this subject?Granny33 wrote:are you sure? i think i hear chords. also what about the end of teh slow part. is it the same as whats on the site just strumming the top strings or something different?

Yeah it is very good, what did he tell you about how he plays the song? Or would you like to comment Tribbin Hillbilly? Who ever reads this first, Id just like to know what advice he had on playing it becuase it sounds a little dull with just the one string the whole time.Granny33 wrote:thanks, yea i did ask trippin billie his versian was great damn i wish i could sing

allright, watchtower is really a bunch of variation on the progression Am, G, F.
sometimes, dave will play Am, G, F, then a quick C and slide it up a full step (2 frets)
if you need me to be more specific i can tab it for you, but that little thing is the closest i've come to his acoustic jam thing on watchtower. the tab posted is just the intro. i'd also power chord those notes to make them sound fuller.

Well there's a hell of a lot of variation you can do, dave doesn't play it the same way twice. Basically just fool around with:Granny33 wrote:yea i do play the power chord jam, but could you tab that progression out for me? also, trippinbill could u tab out ur the versian you played htats the one i want. thanks guys.
