my cunundrum

Unread post by ndfilth » Fri Oct 22, 2004 8:09 pm

I'm posing this question because recently (yesterday) my car was broken into and I lost about 150 cd's that were in my case under the seat (including every DMB studio and live album). Pretty sweet huh? Anyways, do you think it is ethical to download music that you have already bought, and does anyone have the Live in Chicago album online that they would want to either send to me or host? Any live shows would be sweet too, since I lost 13 of those too. Thanks.

I dont think insurance would cover cds unless you actually insured your cds, which i dont know if you can do, but you have to be really paranoid that your going to get robbed if you insure your cds.

Wouldnt that suck if you think its gone forever so you go out and buy all new cds and you find it again.

that happened to my cousin...he got hundreds of CDs stolen
and his taste in music is pretty out there, so the person probably just dumped the CDs somewhere :(

My friend burns copies of all his cd's and keeps the burned copies in his car. He has like 400 cd's though. I was thinking about doing that.

This girl i know had her cd player and cd's stolen and her insurance covered the cd player and they gave her over 3k to replace her cds. You should talk to your insurance if you have full coverage.
I've had friends(i've actually thought about doing it)who would break into each others cars and then collect the insurance money, but i'm not really partial to fraud :D

Same thing happened to me, but I had ripped it all onto my cp so I thought i was ok...until my cp crashed and had to be restored a month ago. So I'm rebuilding my collection too. Oh yeah, and I have no problem downloading music that I've already paid for.
