new instrument

Topics about musical instruments other than guitar should go here. There's bound to be a Carter, LeRoi, or Yo-Yo Ma out there.

Yeah it's pretty tough. It was $110 (including bow and case) from http://www.larkinam.com

Since you play classical I assume you are a good finger picker. If so, I would recommend a banjo. I got one a while back and it is really a lot of fun. Also, it is a cool thing to pull out if you're doing an acoustic gig.

banjo has always been somethin that tickled my fancy, but I don't know anyone within my town that plays it and could teach me. Plus I don't have one on hand, but it is something I may take up someday.

I want a Chapman stick. Those are so damn cool. You can play bass and melody at the same time, plus the sound itself is so unique. And you play it by tapping the strings instead of strumming them. I want one SO bad.

So far I've learned (In order from most played to least):
Guitar
Bass (Electric and Upright)
Trumpet
Piano
French Horn
Sax

What I really really want to learn:
Cello or violin, or both

I've always wanted to learn how to play piano/keyboard but never really tried to learn, or taken the time. It would just be something else to go back on when I don't feel like playin the guitar. Always thought it would be cool. I always thought Harmonica would be cool play, but it's harder than hell.
