Dadarrio EJ16 Strings

Unread post by incubusdmb5 » Tue Oct 19, 2004 8:13 pm

after playing these strings for a week, these are now my top choice for strings. i've tried them all from elixir to gibson masterbuilt, but these are the best in my opinion. they are very cheap but dont play that way. they're very loud but with great tone. these strings are used by ben harper.

give them a try

I love em, the only downside is they wear out quicker than EXPs.

I have been trying out the mediums for about a week now. At first I was going to change them right away because they were too tough but I was lazy as usual and now I am glad I didn't change them because they are awesome, I might keep the bottom 3 medium and the top 3 lights, not sure yet.

I used to use those but when you change them they sound way to twangy, and when they get too broken in they always sound flat.

I use Martin light strings. They sound good from the moment you put them on to the time they break.

i used the martins for a while but i thought they were to empty and airy. they sound almost hollow in my opinion. the d's do deteriorate pretty quickly tho

I just changed all my stings today with Martin strings. Put a little string lubricant on there and they sound almost proffessional for less than Diadarrios.
