does the guitar center give good money for trade-ins??? im trying to get a gibson chet atkins sst and i am trying to get more money for it. will it be worth money wise trading in one or two of my others guitars? it will i get more money going somewhere else??

trade somethin in, and tell them youll pay cash. thatll lower it at GC.

is a used gibson chet atkins sst worth $1000 no tax with a case???? i played it and it sounds great, it looks like its in good condition too maybe a few smudges but those come right off.? is that a good price?

id say no, save your cash and talk them down to $1200 for a new one. you can get one for $1200

yea, the longer you keep talking to those people, the loser the price comes. believe me, make friends and they will do you a favor. Or you could get a job their and buy it for the same price they buy it (roughly, half price then what they sell at the store)

they can rip you off though, my friend bought a brand new electric their for 400. He had it for under s year, and sold it back for 120. The next weekt he same guitar was on sale (used) for 400 again.

i didnt get the chet :( , the guy wouldnt lower the price. i didnt like him though cause he kept saying you cant a guitar like this this cheap, but you can cause it was used for 1000

guitar center had a labor day sale last year, and I bought a new chet there for 1000...so you can mention that to him next time, and they threw in a new pair of strings...
