My shot at "So Damn Lucky" cover - (my first post

Unread post by jeffuofm » Fri Oct 15, 2004 5:14 pm

Well - I don't claim to be a good singer but I think I can play guitar pretty well - so I thought let me see what others think of my voice - and maybe get some opinions on what I can do to sound better - I want to play live somewhere and its tough to do that cold-turkey - so getting advice from here first is a better plan -

I just recorded this with a crappy mic sitting on my bed next to my computer..nothing special - I play an ovation baladeer

hey jeff, I'm so jealous that you can record right next to your computer.

you seem to have a good handle on it, go and play an open mic!

my best advice and what I'm doing is practicing singing in different styles, light, soft, a little louder, etc...

try this one soft.

nice job...very well done. It would be better if we could here the guitar less and your voice more.

I second that notion. You've got a good voice, let it be heard.

First off that is a tough song to sing while playing...So kudos for getting it done. I think your voice is pretty decent....(I would suggest a lesson or two) Guitar was solid.
