Hey...

I recorded this about a month ago. Could you give it a listen and let me know what you think? I feel like there might be something missing, but i'm not entirely sure.

The recording isn't great but I think you'll get the general idea.

It's called This Life. Please save it, don't stream it.

i think the biggest problem is that neither the guitar progression or the melody has a hook, it just seems rather bland.

these just seems like a song that has a lot of meaning to the writer, but cant really relate to an audience. its as if you like playing it, but it really isn't having the same effect on the audience.

the electric guitar seemed a little out of place, i'd either have a full band arrangement or keep it just one guitar.

it's not a bad song, but i think you feel something is missing because it isn't very catchy, or it isn't "fun". but at least you sound like you are really into it, which some people seem to dig

Miguel,

I thought is song was awesome. As far as what "fatjack" said about no hook....screw that...As soon as you sang "this life", it totally hooked me. I thought it was a great tune with a ton of emotion. I'd love to hear more of your original stuff. Good Job!

what he said.

you've got a great voice, a very natural tone, most people don't have that naturally, without learning it. the only gripe i have is that the electric kinda overpowers your vocals at the point in the song when you're vocals should be doin the ass kicking. but besides that i really liked it. put some more up!!!

Thanks for your honesty guys, keep them coming.

MWR, it should be back up now. It's an angelfire account so it gets suspended after a few downloads.

It's really good. Good tone and rhythm and you have a great voice. I've been waiting for another song since the BOWA cover :)
