the "choppiness" is just my style for that song... i think it sounds good whe its just a guitar playing. i just tried to prove that i had rythm... did i succeed?
sure, why not.
awww.... y you gotta go and taint it like that... why couldnt you just say "yes. andy, you are the finest 1st year guitar player ever"
thank you BK, i hope you have more respect for me
You are not the finest 1st year guitar player ever.

**clears throat**... ... ...i do not like the way you act on this iste BK. you can joke around with others but you cannot accept that others are joking around with you. I have a tremendous amount of respect for you as a guitar player, but as a person you are a pompus, arrogant, A-HOLE! (i am on a monitored school cpu and thustly cannot curse) Granted, all i know of your personality is what i read on this site, but from what i can see you criticise to tear down rather than to build up. I believe you are a drain on this forum, and the community within. You have said almost nothing positive to me (aside from being honored at my bk remix) in the near month i have been here. In fact I've found very few positive things you've said on this entire site. I dont know if this is the real you, but i dont think its the message you want to be sending. Yes, you stood up for me in one of the first treads i participated in, but since then you have been nothing but condescending. You are also a very concrete thinker and thustly cannot accept that you are ever wrong. I have rythm. the first gravedigger cover may not reflect that, but i do. i play in a praisegroup at my church and have never even been slightly set back by my inability to read sheet music or what you call my tremendous lack of rythm. I have been tolerant and taken your bombardments well, and responded by jokin around with you. As i have said, it is clear that you have alot of knowledge to contribute to this site, i just wish you would do it in a different way. CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM, not just criticism. we are presented with a unique situation because we are all musicians of different levels brought together in one place.

I hope i have not offended you, this is just my analysis of your actions and demeanor on this website. this is constructive criticism and i hope you'll keep it in mind. and i hope i have not ruined this thread even further by being serious for a moment

wow...that was deep, andy. I'm impressed. I tend to agree with you (no disrespect intended, BK), however, i think that perhaps he is a good person deep inside. besides, he likes DMB, he can't be all bad, right? anyway...well written post, and not too shabby of a cover, as well.

cheers!

Im sorryt hat I offended, but I have helped out people before. ITs not like I am here just to break people. Not at all. I just dont like people that say they can do something, and then not be able to do it. In your case, it was rythm. I did not feel you had the "rythm" that you said you did when you defended yourself with your lack of music theory (basic theory) knowledge. I do not want it to seem that Im just picking on you. If it were someone else, Im sure Id be dumb enough to say the same things. I think that you searching for appreciation (i.e making two gravediggers...one of them being for me) and you told someone they were not that good at singing, where I think you lakced completely. I rather tell the truth then just blow smoke up your ass and lie. I know the way I do this is not the easiest to deal with, but I dont inten to change it. I could not tell you if this is how I really am in life.

The problem with you praisedave is that u always fish after compliments. (all the fucking time)..

you have only played guitar a year so, you cant be Dave Matthews understand that..

and for BK- he have the balls to says the things no one wants to say..

if i would put up a recording i know that BK will tell me that i suck (BUT I KNOW THAT I DO) and thats life.. you just have to face the fact...

and just keep practise..

and dont ever tell a guy that he cant sing when the guy are a god in singing compare to you..

how so? i dont mean to by any means. and i never told anybody they couldnt sing, and even if i did, just because i cant do it doesnt mean i dont know what good singing sounds like. i know i cant sing and its something that im working on.

and im not saying lie and tell somebody they're good when they're not. im saying there are two ways to criticize: you can explain what they did wrong and how they can fix it, or you can be as ass and just say they suck etc.

i know im not very good at guitar or anything music. i am not a musically oriented person, and i never was. its something i have to work at and this site has helped me tremendously. But, that being said, im much better than the entire population of guitar posers that thinks they are christ reincarnated cause they can play "seven nation army" or "smoke on the water" i suck in terms of dave and his band of crusaders. Im just trying to improve.

I never siad you wer off tempo. Rythm. Its just the way things flow. You guitar work didnt flow.I was very sketchy. You said you had rythm and I listened and thought you didnt. Like I said, it angers me when people say they can do something, but not back it up. I will not say I can do something and not be able to back it up. I dont go up to people saying "yea, I can play that song" and not be able to play it if they ask to hear me. You built yourself up to be something that, in my opinion, you werent.

Yes, swede...I will say that you suck...but that is because you are swedish. I mean, God didnt even give you a chance.

But you have said that you own a 914 and hd28v and have yet to back any of that up. So technically, you're no better than he is.

Hey Andy. How do you have tremendous respect for BK's guitar playing? To my knowledge he's never posted anything.
