a little trick i use to make it super easy is to use your thumb and index fingers to hit the E string and teh D string.
with your left hand, tune the tuning peg down until they both sound the same.
saves some time i think, instead of movign back and forth from the fret to the peg to the fret to the peg

two options:
Option 1: Make sure your guitar is in standard tuning. Then hold down the low E string just behind the seventh fret. leave all other strings open. play the low e string and an open A string (the 5th string that is just below the low E). Play one string just after the other. Adjust the tuning of the low E string until it sounds the exact same as the open A string. Once the open A string and the "low E" string fretted at seven sound the same, then your low E is now a drop D
Option 2:
Make sure your guitar is in standard tuning. Using your guitar tuner, (this is going to depend drastically on your tuner) manually select the low E string for tuning (mine says 6E). I have a button on my tunner that looks like "b,bb" (that stands for flat). If I hit that once ('b'), it lowers the note one half step. If i hit it twice ('bb'), it lowers the note two half steps, which is what you want. From there, just tune the string like you normally would.
I hope that helps. Have fun with crush, it's a great song to play. You also should check out DDTW (very very easy) and Bartender, they are both fairly easy.
