PFWYG Cover

Unread post by Rubinster » Sat Oct 02, 2004 4:58 am

Well, I decided to post my first cover I just did, Pay For What You Get. Unfortunately, the quality is quite bad cos my recording stuff sucks. And I do also know I made a few mistakes, but it was just the third time I played it and I'm not that good at playing guitar while singing along. Maybe I should have left out the Norwegian Wood line :? .
Think I'm gonna practice it more often now. Some feedback would be welcome. Here we go:

Right click and "Save target as..." Worked for me. I like your voice. I think you're playin it a bit fast but that don't matter. Very nice.

Hm, thanks for the info. Tried to follow that thread where there's explained how to post mp3s in here, but it seems something went wrong :?

Oh, thank you :) . You're right, I gotta admit it was probably a bit too fast. As I said, I'm gonna work on it  At least downloading works. Other opinions, both positive and negative, are appreciated.

I think your guitar is out of tune.

not half bad...chorus sounds pretty good, watch out for daves high notes.

agreed, couldnt tell if it was the recording quality or not but it sounds out of tune. the overall rythm seemed a lil shaky too, but you did well.

Thanks for criticizing, guys 8)
And yes, it's possible my guitar was out of tune when I recorded it. I actually didn't mean to post it anywhere, but just wanted to hear how my singing sounds. Well, it seems there's much I could have done better
Of course, more feedback is still appreciated :!:

Guitar seems right on, and singing is pleasant. Over all I like it. Keep it up.

I thought is was pretty good.

You voice sounds like mine used to. I think you need to concentrate on your breathing a bit more & let the end notes resononate (vocally) Also dont sing those high note until you are comfortable...It was obvious you were straining/not hitting them.

I thought the guitar was not fast...(I have been a Dave fan for 10 years & if he played it at that speed I would never notice.)

Overall: B
