Vote For Change Tonight 10/11

Unread post by charliemike » Tue Oct 12, 2004 12:09 am

I finally got to see Dave play ... Yay :)

Stefan had all sorts of problems with his bass and those earpieces so they can hear themselves ... He was pissed :)

Then Dave's standard tuning 914ce took a dirtnap so he swapped that out in the middle of a verse of One Sweet World (as most of you probably saw). Very high energy by Dave and the band. I was definitely impressed.

Joy Ride kicks copious amounts of ass. Also, finally getting to hear Dave's 914ce live was a treat. DVDs and CDs don't do it justice; it's simply awesome.

Bruce totally went off ... what a whacko (in a good way) :) He had tons of energy too and the crowd loved him.

Personally, the highlights of my evening were REM and DMB. Both were completely awesome and Michael Stipe is an amazing frontman.

Bottom line is it was the best $90 I've spent in a long time and I truly enjoyed it. I had never seen any of the performers live so getting a chance to see any of them was a treat but to see so many at once was an amazing night.

To go to a concert where John Mellencamp OPENS ... I mean, jeezus, are you kidding me? :)
