The song sucks, and no cover of it is going to make it better. I know you can say i don't have to listen to them (which i haven't), but that is immaterial. I'm suggesting this for your own good people. Be original. Be creative. It will make you a far better musician than covering dave matthews will...
whatever...
yes, whatever indeed
His gravedigger cover was pretty good Josh...But i agree, make your own shit guys. It will make you a much better musician if you work on your own work instead of always working on dave's stuff.. I realized this not too long ago and rarely play dave's stuff anymore..been working on some original stuff.. Be creative and work hard and someday you'll make yourself really proud with your own work
I do have some of my own songs, but none are finished enough to post, so i thought i'd throw that one up. And i do still play alot of dave songs, but i've started doing them in different voices. Like Gravedigger as Elmer Fudd is awesome. Try it.

Lyrically, i think Gravedigger is the worst song dave matthews has ever written.. funney how people's opinions on lyrics can be so different.

gravedigger does suck and I was wondering the same thing about people covering that particular song...although covering DAVE(i.e. pre-everyday) is the best thing one can do with his life!!! :D fuck yea!

Did anyone notice this is a DMB tab site. Obviously your going to see more DMB covers on a DMB tab site than say the Folk Songwriting website. If people want to do the same covers over and over again than more power to them. Not everyone here wants to be a musician when they grow up. Many just play for the pure enjoyment. Do you remember what that feels like Josh?
"Thank you everybody so much again for tonight. We hope you had a good time with us. We're kind of relaxed and y'all hopefully y'all relaxed too. This is beautiful humidity. We enjoy it and everybody take care of yourselfs. Muaha..." DM

Took the words right out of my mouth Ricky. Couldn't agree with you more.

i'm positive that people would get much more enjoyment out of their own music than try to emulate someone else
