yeah dey are inlays, ifn you get the circle ones u can use the appropriate sized drill bit to drill andout half the hickness of the dot into the fretboard at the desired place, then apply some glue insert the dot and sand smooth with HIGH grit sandpaper

I would never want to add an inlay to my neck...it just seems pointless and a waste of money...

Oh..and it's not called sandpaper, it's abbrassive paper, seeing how it's no longer made of sand
