Fretblanks?
So, stewmac.com. They sell fret blanks , and pearl fret shapes and stuff that you can put on your guitar. however.. im wondering.. will these things be like big lumps of poo on my fretboard when i play...? like.. adjusting the sound? And.. how do you put these on?

I believe those are meant to be inlay on the fretboard. In other words, they are inserted into the fret board a bit, so that the fretboard is smooth. Look at the stars on a Chet SST, they are inlay, and they are sold on that site, but they do not jut out above the fretboard.
So, to answer your question, if they were installed correctly, they would not impede your playing/sound.

yeah dey are inlays, ifn you get the circle ones u can use the appropriate sized drill bit to drill andout half the hickness of the dot into the fretboard at the desired place, then apply some glue insert the dot and sand smooth with HIGH grit sandpaper

I would never want to add an inlay to my neck...it just seems pointless and a waste of money...praisedave wrote:yeah dey are inlays, ifn you get the circle ones u can use the appropriate sized drill bit to drill andout half the hickness of the dot into the fretboard at the desired place, then apply some glue insert the dot and sand smooth with HIGH grit sandpaper

Sandpaper - 93 products
Abrasive paper (considering abbrassive isn't a word, I'm going to assume this is what you meant) - 0 products
Interesting.

I don't care what home depot says..It's not called sand paper. If you're on a construction site and ask someone for sand paper, they'll probably give you it and not say a damn thing, but the correct term for it is Abrasive paper. I'm 100% sure. If you buy "sand paper" it actually says Abrasive PaperTrippnBill686 wrote:HomeDepot.com:DMBFan63 wrote:I was just letting you know bro.If you're gonna be an ass, just don't say anything at all.praisedave wrote:thank you for correcting me... your meticulous disection of my nonchalant comment has made me a better personDMBFan63 wrote:I would never want to add an inlay to my neck...it just seems pointless and a waste of money...praisedave wrote:yeah dey are inlays, ifn you get the circle ones u can use the appropriate sized drill bit to drill andout half the hickness of the dot into the fretboard at the desired place, then apply some glue insert the dot and sand smooth with HIGH grit sandpaper

edit: and actually, homedepot.com shows "Sandpaper and Abrasives" which is correct, but It's technically supposed to be called abrasive paper. The most common name for it in today's world is Sandpaper, so it's called sand paper so people can find it easier. I was taught from a woodworker of 50+ years that it is no longer made of sand, and is refered to as abrasive paper. I believe he is right, seeing how it's been his profession for his whole life basicly
