recording of my open mic night

Unread post by gravesRR7 » Thu Sep 30, 2004 9:18 am

***********EDIT*********
i can't host a file that big on one track i guess. so mr DustyDave was nice enough to host it for me
below is the link for the ENTIRE show. but later on tongiht i'll split it up onto individual songs for those of you who don't want to dl something that big***************

here it is
from last night
quality is ..... eh, not great, but not terrible

it's all on one track, so i'll tell you the setlist if you want to fast forward

BOWA
song that jane likes
stone
gravedigger--->
DIKG
ants marching

i cut out a lot of the talking, and the first song ("Yesterday") in order to save room

keep in mind this recording doesn't really do too much justice. it was a mic stuck into a couch cushion, haha

but if you would like to hear, be my guest
http://www.logicdreamlab.com/openmic.mp3

i had to take down ALL of my other covers just to fit this, haha
enjoy

Listened to it..sounds pretty good..Guitar playing needs work. BOWA sounded too choppy but the singing was alright. Overall, nice job. Also noticed in the stone you messed up by singing before you played the right part on guitar..just needs work and it'll get better. Good job

maybe once or twice you starting singing before playing the 31x3 chord..it isn't that off, but it's noticable..

Nice job.

You should expand your song/artist vocabulary though.

hey man, there aint nothing wrong with playin all DMB bro...So, I thought you did a good job on these tunes...you sounded really good vocally, and the guitar was pretty strong. I noticed one thing on the ending of STJL, it seemed like the timing wasn;t like the way Dave plays it...But maybe you were going for that. Anyway, I gotta give you props for gettin up there and doing it man...it takes me fuckin 10 minutes to get the balls to play and sing for my fuckin grandparents.
