Aside from knowing all the lyrics to a song/because what if you want to sing lyrics to your own song...? The answer is simple, practice-practice-practice. you need to experiment with your range and breathing techniques, just like guitar, the more you practice the better youll get.

i dont know a damn thing about pitch or anything but we have lots of problems with our vocalists in our schools pep band..can't be of any help but to say be careful and refer to piano when you're ready and comfortable..

anyone know a good place to learn to sing from your diaphragm? I cant sing for shit and would like to start of on the right foot by getting this diaphragm breathing and singing thing down.....
