my live version of Minarets

Unread post by dustin41 » Tue Sep 28, 2004 8:48 pm

Hey All -

Been around the site for awhile but just registered today.
Wanted to get some opinions on this live minarets, from the River Street Jazz Cafe in PA. (TR played there sept 12) there is reverb on the voice courtesy of the sound man, so that was out of my control. the intro was requested by Funk Tank, the band i was opening for.

anyway this is the link

it was very nicely done. the guitar wasn't exactly what in dave's style (strumming wise) but i don't htink you wanted it to be. it sounded great though, don't worry. and your voice is awesome. very mature, you got to those notes pretty well. and that bridge part where it goes 7 9 11...you're getting some wrong notes. just look at the tab again. it really stuck out to someone who knows the song well.

over all, great job.

guitar was good, vocals were really good....I give it an "A", and a job well done...and as Mike said, theres one or two notes in the transition part that could be checked out....again, great cover, i'd like to hear some more.

I take every gif I watch (which is A LOT) with a humongous grain of salt. But I don't let that grain of salt get into my eye and blind me to whatever truth can be found in what I'm watching. He is not any worse than any other poster here, and the people who claim he is just don't know what they're talking about. The demonization has gotten ridiculously out of hand.
