Martin SP's

Unread post by Teego Time » Mon Sep 27, 2004 6:13 pm

So I just went on a string run, and they were having a sale on the Martin SP's, I picked up some light/meds.

To be honest, I'm not sure if I like the sound. The chords sound too cluttered, even with Dave muting techniques. I dunno, maybe its because I've been playing all day and my hands are shot.

Any of you guys try these strings out before?

I don't like 'em personally. Jared swears by them, though.

I think they are the best sounding string... for one day.

Best for concert situations where you can change them every day.

Elixers otherwise.

D'adds are all I use. They have the best tone of any string out there that I've tried, which includes Elixirs, Markleys, Martins, and John Pearse.
