One Sweet World Intro

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

One Sweet World Intro

Unread post by PSKLloyd780 » Sat Sep 11, 2004 4:37 pm

Maybe it's just me, but I'm having a difficult time getting the transitions in the One Sweet World Intro down right. I can play most of the "hard" songs no problem (i.e. The Stone, WWYS, etc...) but for some reason this intro is escaping me. Any tips?

just practice it a ton, then don't play it for a while, then come back to it

it's just one of those things where if you don't have the pick and fingering accuracy, you won't be able to do it unless you just practice it

It took me about two weeks of practicing it to get it down right. I still mess up from time to time. Once you get it you will be able to do it without thinking.

don't kid yourself and don't fool yourself
this love's too good to last and i'm too old to dream

don't grow up too fast don't embrace the past
this life's too good to last and i'm too young to care

don't kid yourself and don't fool yourself
this life could be the last and we're too young to see

yeah
its all about letting the strings ring long enough i think.
so you have to essentially keep one hand position as long as you can (or at least keep the important notes held) , then kinda slur it nicely into the next chord

yeah, kinda vague, but hey, that's my 2 cents

Never heard that, I thought it was just the Instrumental intro.

Anywho, just practice it a lot. Listen to a live version of just Dave playing it. Usually he'll play it a few times through by himself before the band comes in.

No it is not the same as L@LC

I don't think that is is on any of the "official" releases....it is only played live.

it has to be one of the best things that DMB does :D
