DM3MD with John Mayer's Signature on Sale!

Unread post by Ricky the Pilot » Mon May 19, 2003 1:35 am

There's someone selling their DM3MD (#193 of 234) on the UMGF for $3500. It even has John Mayer's signature on the pickguard. He has pictures to prove it. I'm thinking about getting it, but if I get that one I won't have enough money to order a Taylor W65 with grafted walnut and I already have a DM3MD (#122). Decisions, decisions. :?:

Buy that guitar...hold onto it for oh....1yr until I graduate and get my job. Then I can buy it off you and then you can buy your W65....WE ALL WIN!!!! :( I want it so bad, it'd be perfect for my style of play. Some people tell me I like Dave Matthews....oh well

buy it, sell yours and buy the other guitar you want, sound simple enough to me, now you have a signed version of your current guitar and the guitar you were planning on getting

by the way I am loving my new d-15, haven't put it down since i bought it except to go to the bathroom

As the seller suggest, you can simply remove the signature of j. mayer. If I had it I would more than likely remove it. Actually, now that I think about it I dont know what I would do. humm

Damn I hope to have one of them when Im older and have money. Is there only 234 of them ever made? If so that really sucks, that would mean its virtually impossible to get one. Hey Ricky, how does the the guitar sound anyways, incredible Im sure.

p.s. we are getting our roof redone and there is some asshole with the loudest power tool Ive ever heard RIGHT outside my window and hes driving me nuts! Just thought Id share.

Nah man....I got no beef with Mayer. I am personally not that huge of a fan. I think he is an amazingly talented guitarist but overall nothing like Dave. It's all good. If I got it...I would just do what someone else suggested above, get the pickguard removed and have a new one added on. Simple enough. It is kind of a shame the guitar would have to be altered at all because it is such a beautiful piece of equipment in it's natural state. Oh well

I would get the pickgard professionally laminated and sell it on ebay not a forum for at least 6gs. That is if he's out to get the most loot.
