kcw wrote:Its alright man thats why i posted them to get feedback. I know my singing is nasaly ive been working on that for a while and its a lot better than what it was a year ago. Keep in mind ive only been writing good stuff for about a year and i'm learning more about it all the time. So how would I go about changing the keys and stuff like making that in a verse or bridge or what.
Here's a quick little thing you can do to really hear and feel where the nasaliness comes from:
While your singing pinch your nose closed. There should be a very slight change if any in how it sounds. As long as your singing comfortably within your range there should be little or no air coming thru your nose. Thats all there is to it. Record yourself doing this to really get an accurate idea of how it sounds.

I cant really give specific advice on how to switch things up because thats your job as the writer. The simplest key change would be to go to the relative minor/major of whatever key your in. So if your playing in E you can shift over to C# minor.
A common tool for getting into other keys is playing the fifth(as a dominant seven) chord of the key you want to go to and then back to the one of the new key. So if your playing in C and you want to go to D you'd play an A7 and then go to D. That change creates the greatest pull back to the root. There's no rules though just how you think the song should be.

Is there more direction on the singing part then just hold your nose. Cause I did that and I understand the point but how exactly do I fix it just keep plugging my nose while I sing to stop airflow or what?

Record yourself doing the exercise as I described and listen to it. If you still don't understand PM me the clip.

U can sing but I agree with others sayin that the voice just isnt my style. I like your voice in parts but when you raise the pitch in parts ill be honest it kind of annoys me. Guitar parts are good and your definately alot more talented than a majority of the people that post/ most are to afraid to post somthin with vocals so i respect ya.

hey learn how to breathe from your diaphragm. deep breaths expand lower back. this isn't a chest thing at all, the breath just passes through the chest. when you sing your vowels open up the back of the throat more ah like a yawn almost.

nice work loved when I close my eyes
