I did billies. i got this pick up converter thing from a friend, so the quality is much better. its tripping billies, no vocals.

yea, but without vocals, i don't care about that pause. i know exactly what you're talking about. its just it owuld get boring to hear the verse 4 times in a row like that. haha.filmdude100cms wrote:little slower than i like my billies, but the quality was better, a few wrong notes here and there, nothin major, not a bad cover.... one thing though, theres a delay between the chorus and getting back to the verse.

That was pretty good and the quality was much better. You didn't seem to be "in the pocket" timing wise but it was close.
I also think you should avoid copying Tim's licks unless they're sort of an integral part of the song (like the beggining of satellite). Playing lead is different than rhythm in that is always changing and there isn't a "right" way to do it. It's should be a reflection of how you percieve melody. Thats how you start to develop you own voice.
Anyway I'm done talking philisophical nonsense.
