classical gas

i knocked out a good portion of this song tonight, any recomendations as to how to get better, or like ways to learn it faster.

When I learned this song the parts that gave me problems I would single out and play those for awhile and just start playing them at a very slow pace. Id just play slow and make sure to hit every note good and over time the speed just built along with it.

the bastard stole my idea. I told him i was playing classical gas :( but yeah, i just started with the intro today, started slow, wen with the timing of the song. and kep[t playing it. intro is now mastered

If you want to get better don't learn it fast. That was the most annoying advice ever...sorry.

No offense, but the intro isnt exactly...hard. Its pretty simple. :?

yeah o got the intro and some other part done, i was just wantin to know any weird techniques with this song.

Here's a tip: Don't use just your index finger and thumb to pick. That's how I would fingerpick, and it took me a while to get up to speed. Now I can play it at a 190 tempo (Clapton's: 160) max., but it's almost like a freakin' trance I go into. Hell, it is. If you use your middle finger as well it'll help a lot with the chorus.

Just my trial-and-error advice....
