Understandable, but it's not like I insulted him or anything.. I was just being honest.

Anyway, I've been meaning to do a new stream cover. The old one was pretty sloppy. If only I wasn't so damn lazy. Hopefully I can get something up for you guys soon. :D

id would like this video, the reason im not attempting the riffs is because i dont exactly know what to do, i know theyre not in there, ive said theyre not in there, and that this is just a base, im 14, ive only been playin 2 years, those riffs are too weird to just get off a tab, and sadly tim isnt like allot of artists where if im havin a problem i can pop in a DVD or find a vid on the net about it, theres only 1 video i know of him playing it, i tried to get it, 50% through the download died. id love to see someone do this id be a big help...

i dont like the way ritz bitz said it, but hes right, he kinda did seem like an asshole in his post, but i dont think he is, and ive had allot of dickish posts as well...

so please at least get me a copy of this.

When I read that, I thought it was a pretty "asshole" thing to say. That's why I opted to be rude in my post. No hard feelings. 8)

Since when is giving your honest opinion "being a bitch"?
That's the standard dmbtabs response to anything remotely negative even if your being constructive and it pisses me off! :D

I don't really have anything to say about the cover that hasn't already been said. It was a good effort.

The runs aren't terribly difficult. Work on alternate picking and work your way up to the recorded speed. Try, for example, the opening riff:

Code: Select all

E:----------------------0--------------------0--
B:----------------------0--------------------0--
G:----------------------5------4----5----7---5--
D:-----2----4----5------5---0h5--0h7--0h9----5--
A:--0h3--0h5--0h7-------0--------------------0--
D:------------------0-0-0------------------0-0--
Play it down stroke on the A string, hammer 3, up stroke on the D string, and repeat while sliding up. It's a technical song, and technique can be picked up with time and practice.

As for the runs in the middle, you basically have to learn the D Mixolydian scale (or have positions that you know down pat) and practice alternate picking those, running through the scale, doing combinations, etc.

Don't give up, and by the time you have them down, your technique will have improved considerably.

Good luck

tim doesnt even play the hammer-ons all the time, he mixes up the intro alot and just plays the single notes

filmdude, were you trying to play the Kashmir melody in there?

if so, i suggest you listen to the actual Zeppelin song, your interpretation of it isnt close to what it should sound like
