Setlist Help Needed

Unread post by dmb_tatertot » Sun Sep 12, 2004 11:46 pm

Hey guys!
In honor of DMB Day, my band is gonna be playing a charity benefit with a mostly DMB setlist. Please let me know what you think...

Don’t Drink the Water
Grey Street
----original----
Tripping Billies
The Stone
Dancing Nancies
----original----
Where are you Going
So Much to Say --->
Anyone seen the bridge? --->
Rapunzel
Long Black Veil
----original----
Granny

Encore:

Pig
Everyday-->
#36

Just let me know what you think of the flow and what, if any, songs should be replaced/added/removed.

Thanks!

Looks pretty good although Granny is a fairly weak closer. Any reason for it being a primarily DMB setlist? Will your audience be familiar with most of these songs?

Looks pretty good, I'd put some Halloween before that Granny and maybe drop the So Much And Too Much, but my thoughts however.

hey in response, September 27th is dave matthews day... so we are playing our setlist accordingly to play tribute to such an amazing person. In regards to your comments, i personally like finishing with granny. The night is going to be pretty laid back, hence the slower/quieter songs. The encore picks it up a little bit. I think the Halloween before granny is a great idea. Also, what about instead of SMTS-->TM .... PNP-->TM . That would shorten it a little.

honestly our band never plays dmb outside of this specific date so we wouldnt have time to learn seep up as well as it should be, but i just redid the setlist and incorporated a couple suggestions. let me know what you think!

im not sure if your audience will be familiar with all these as dave, such as long black veil, the stone, and maybe pig. i also dont know if your covers are really similar to dmb or have a bunch of your own style. i think crash might be one to put in that everyone knows regardless of if they know dmb. and what about ants?
