My Strat through a tube amp (I only have a crappy acoustic amp) for the first time and I fell in love. It is the greatest thing ever. I need one. So can you give me a few reccomendations, I don't need to much wattage, 60 or below would probably do it.

Line 6 simulates. You can simulate tube amps, and tons of other types. WIth the pod, you can download into it to simulate famous amps (I just do what I think sounds best).

A good amp: Fender Blues Jr. I have one, and they are great. Not too expensive, good for gigs and at home. It's also not huge, but it's not too small. Try it out.

i second the blues jr...great sounding little amp and plenty loud at 15 watts. if you're looking for crystal clarity....and since you have a fender...you should get a fender amp. they were originally designed to work in conjunction with one another. also, the newer fender amps are nice and reasonably priced...but if you can get your hands on a 70's fender amp...the silver faced onces you won't be disappointed. the smaller ones are going on ebay for about 2-300 but are well worth the money. if you're looking for clean tones....and maybe tube distortion you can't beat em. but if you're looking for grunge metal types of distortion you might want to look at marshals. the pro jr is pretty nice too...a small and simple tube amp from fender...

i dont have one... i dont even have a line 6, my friends all have strats (cept one has a carvin) and they plug it though a line 6, and its amazing, daniel has one and he plays his texas special through it, he can get the sound of, SRV, Randy Rhoads, crazy guitar solos, blues, everything, it has allot of range, effects, and punch, its a great amp.

I'm not sure. It belonged to a friend who plays harmonica through it, so I seriously doubt it was meant for guitar, but it still sounded really awesome.

I hadn't thought of those line 6 amps, I'll have to check em out.

After looking around a bit I've decided that I probably don't want a modeling amp, and the Fender blue's jr looks a bit smaller than I'd like. The Traynor looks great, just too much money. I guess I didn't know what I was getting into. Maybe I should just stick to solid state? Or are there some amps like the fenders that aren't quite so pricey?

Edit: Something like this looks like it'd be just right for me, even though its not tube :? . http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=g ... id/480723/

Any experience with this amp? Or something similiar?
