i have the live at luther college music book, and the fingering for the chorus chords are really hard.

whats the easiet way to do em?
heres what they are:
Emadd2- 0|7|9|11|8|7
Cmaj7sus#4- 8|x|9|11|8|7
Gmaj7/d- 10|x|9|11|8|x
and these two i know
Bm- 7|x|0|7|x|x
Bb- 6|x|0|7|xx
there is an easier way to do the chorus, but im tryin to learn this way.

why not just use the chords from the site? i'm sure they are more accurate than the book.

well, that IS the way he does it.
the thing about music books is that they hire musicians to figure out what the band is playing and then they write a book. note for note, it may be correct but its not EXACTLY what he's playing. in other words, Dave Matthews had nothing to do with that music book.
But a guy named Jared Kanter (owner of the website) tabbed out the song from videos of Dave actually playing it. so what you see on the website, is actually what Dave Matthews is playing.

no. but dave doesn't change how he does a song between performances. He tabbed it from other videos. The tab book isn't right. This site is, i promise you, just try it.

i don't mean to sound like a jerk...
that isn't the "easy version" it is exactly what dave plays.
anything else you hear is going to be Tim.

You're completely missing (or choosing to ignore, not sure which), the fact that those books are
not what Dave plays. Most of the time, they are similar notes so that when you play them, it sounds like it does on the CD. Dave did not write, look at, or approve those tab books. If you want to play what Dave plays, then you're at the right site. If you don't, then there are a plethora of other sites that have tabs right up your alley

now even i am confused. Most people will learn the song the correct way and stick to the correct way. Why, ever, play a song the wrong way if its harder? Thats like intentionally stabbing yourself in the chest to get a drop of blood.

its called expanding your knowledge. it isnt neccessarily wrong, just not what he plays. it sounds good over the song and an another thing.
