speaking from owning and experience (RP300 and GNX3 respectively) they suck. dont go multieffects.

Anyone thinks that's a bad idea?

I prefer individual stompboxes, but it can take a lifetime to compile a stompbox collection equal to the amount of effects in some multieffects. I agree that multieffects lack in many areas. Soundwise, I've always found Boss's to be decent. Yamaha's modelers are fantastic.

Thats strange, shane. When you were trying to sell you RP300, you said it was one of the best effects units you've ever played. :wink:

I have a RP300 as well, and I'm not that impressed with it. I would say its a good option to introduce yourself to effects, finding which effects you prefer and which ones you don't care for. But as far as the tone they produce, it all sounds too "electronic" to me. It all sounds like you are playing through a computer.

i did say it was one of the best effects processors id ever played, but it doesnt compare to single effects.

yeah.... out of the 4 pedals i have, 3 are Boss. all awesome pedals.

(i have a Boss DD-5, BD-2, TU-2, and a Dunlop crybaby (not mine, but i get to keep it with me haha))
