Does anyone know the meaning of these two songs? I have tried to figure out Warehouse for some time but can't get. Grey Street is ify if you know what I mean.
Or I would love to hear your opinions on em!
Thanks

Warehouse is about a warehouse in Charlottesville, and Grey Street is about Julia Grey being insecure and wacko.
Disclaimer: The above is my condensed opinion.

He asked Jane Grey to marry him 3 times and she turned him down all 3 times, that is the insipiration for Grey Street. There is debate about whether warehouse is about a place they hung out in charlottesville, va or his grandmother's attic.

Oops. You are right about Julia. And you are correct about Halloween as well, but Grey Street is also influenced by Julia Grey.

Well, the warehouse really doesn't have a true meaning. Dave said he wrote down lyrics that sounded good, with many little things in his head when he was writing. BUT, the warehouse mention is about the apartment place he used to live in known as the Pink Warehouse. So the song is a jumble of many things that most really don't have any connection with eachother (like the STJL).

Grey Street is open for interpretation since there is no direct meaning. You cant really gather enough info to make a judgement like that. Besides, Grey and julia GREY are a possible coincidence. We are the only country that spells Gray with an"a". Everyone else spells it with an "e"
