Acoustic pickups?

I need to have an acoustic pickup installed in my guitar and I suppose I was just offhandedly going to ask if there are any negative effects to having that done...

according the an expert, it changes the sound slightly, i didnt notice it, but he does ZZ Top's guitars and i dont, so take it or dont

ask the technician at fishman.com its the same guy that did daves stuff, and he is the actual one answering you.

Joe B., Fishman's main tech guy, answered me back about putting modified Fishman electronics in my Gibson Chet. He's the one who worked on Dave's guitars.

I've always been told that Monk (Montgomery, Dave's guitar tech) did all of the setup (including pickup installation) of all of his guitars. Interesting to hear otherwise...

Nope..I'm fairly sure that it was Fishmen's tech doing it..Monk just did the setup of all dave's gear
