I have £400 for a guitar - What do i buy?

Hi there, (im enjoying this forum thing) Im in my 8 month of learing the guitar. Ive been using a friends during this time, but now ive decided im serious about progressing, ive decided to invest im my first guitar. Ive got about £400 ( not sure how much that is in dollars) Can any of you experts tell my which guitar will be worth my money? Thanks guys

i think a martin d-15 goes for somthing like 600 bucks

Depends, do you want electronics or not?

(Pssst...you get a way better guitar at this price if you dont buy it with pre-installed electronics. But I understand if you want them...)

Yeah really, I hardly use my electronics.

D-15's aren't bad guitars. One of the "cheap" martins I can actually stand.

Try a Seagull.

u want acoustic, seagull (if u go enough im not sure how many pounds they cost)
u want electric, i've heard very good things about MK
or try to pick up a used epi chet sst

there are more out there. check musician's friend, or a guitar store around here: Davesguitar.com (if you can't see any on the site, e-mail them asking for les puals under 1000. These guys are good, I ordered my Les Paul Studio from them).
