Songs tuned 1/2 step down

Unread post by sacdeez » Wed Sep 01, 2004 7:06 pm

What are some good songs to play in this tuning?? I've been messing around with some Ben Harper and U2's desire. What are some other good ones though, and please don't say any song in standard cause i know that, i'm just looking for some other ones.

Anything Alice in Chains
Sister - The Nixons
Everything - Stereofuse
Plush(whole step down) - STP
So Far Away - Staind

Just a few ideas. That Stereofuse is a funky strum. You gotta find an acoustic version to learn by.

Not everybody plays it, but a lot of Dashboard Confessional songs are 1/2 step down...

Stevie Ray Vaughan and Hendrix play almost all of their songs 1/2 step down.

Collective Soul (I dont even know if they are still together) plays pretty much all of their stuff half-step down. Their stuff also sounds pretty good acoustic.

I think Smashing Pumpkins' 1979 is tuned half a step down. Actually alot of their stuff is, if I remember correctly.

Patience by Guns N Roses is down a half step. Also Magic Bus by the Who.
