Bartender --> DDTW

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Alright, this is probably really easy to figure out but Im lazy and just thought Id ask. Can anyone tell me how to make the transistion from Old Bartender into DDTW like Storytellers style. Im just looking for a tab exactly like that performance pretty much, thanks!

The way i do it lately

Code: Select all

e|---------------------------------------
B|---------------------------------------
G|-----------7---------------------------
D|----------7----------------------------
A|----3/5--5-----------------------------
D|---------------------------------------
When done with the 3h5 on Bartender , just make it a slide instead

i normally do the same thing except i still do the hammer-on. but it does make more sense to just slide. probably easier too.

So when your playing Bartender the old way is it just the verse or intro part over and over again and then that transition in DDTW, or does he play other parts of the song? Thanks.

You know when the lyrics go " ... now i can't seem to get it out of my mind ... " then the slide comes in here , you can't avoid hearing the rhythm change and such ....

And yeah its strummed , it was just a little alignment problem i had b4 lol sorry about that

hey i do that way sometimes but others i play the "I'm on bended knee, bartender please" and then run through it again with no words and straight into DDTW...

Bartender Chorus
E:----------
B:----------
G:-4--------
D:-4-----5--
A:-2-----5--
D:-------5--

after singing the lyrics, play through that again and go straight into

DDTW verse
E:--------------------
B:--------------------
G:-7---7---7-7---7-7--
D:-7---5---4-5---4-5--
A:-5---5-----5-----5--
D:-0---0-----0-----0--

The way i know this works is because in DDTW, the "all i can say" part is identical to the Bartender chorus
