What is it that Tim is playing in crash after the "Crash into me..."

There is another part besides what dave a holic put, around the 9th fret but i cant remember exactly how it looks.

On Storytellers Tim's hand stays in the same place the whole song so he's playing the first version of it.

Levi's right, but on L@LC Tim gets a little tricky and goes down to the ninth fret and plays something similar to what Levi posted.
