You ever play a maple Taylor Shane, the 310celtd has maple back and sides and it is simply amazing. Knock it if you want but Im just curious if youve ever played that guitar or any other nice maple guitar because from what Ive heard you tend to talk good or bad about guitars having not ever played one. I could be wrong though, let me know.

i havent played that particular model, but i have played the 600 models, which i expect to be somewhat better than a limited.

I don't know Shane, the Taylor 600's are VERY bright, and I wouldn't be surprised if the 300LTD's are slightly darker in tone. If they were, I think I'd probably like them more...

Sure it won't have the bells and whistles of a 600, but bells and whistles don't make a great guitar. Which is not to say that the 600 isn't a great guitar.

That vintage Martin is in the best condition of any pre-war dred that I've seen. It was absolutely stunning. And almost all original parts and a possilbe original case. I don't see why that price is out of range. Not that I'd ever pay that much for a guitar. But if I wanted a pre-war Martin D in that condition, I'd expect to pay that much.

A Viper is only in the $80,000 range so its like handing them one of those and a Escalade or something. Thats ever crazier when you put it like that. Although I bet the thing sounds frickin amazing.

i bet it doesnt sound too much better than a martin built with brazillian rosewood today. its just that much because of how old it is.. thats my guess anyway. i could very well be wrong.

I know guitars are supposed to get better sounding with age but I dont know how much, it cant be that much better but Im sure it sounds a little bit better at least. Its probably more of a collectors item then something someone buys to jam on anyways.

You have to be pulling in some bank to get a guitar for that price.
